I am a linguist and I currently work in the DFG funded project 'Word Families Diachronically' (WoDia) in Hamburg. The project creates a comprehensive online research environment for the historical word formation of High and Low German. Together with colleagues from Kiel and Hamburg I work on the Middle Low German Vocabulary.
I am also writing my doctoral thesis, which I started as part of the DFG project Future Constructions in German – synchronically and diachronically. at the Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf. I examine the (synchronous) variation of werden + Infinitiv and the futurate present in German, as well as their interaction with other constructions in the semantic field of 'future'. I use texts from the DWDS' Corona Corpus.
